Am I crazy to constantly wishing to be above less than perfect people?
Someone (AL) asked: Am I crazy to constantly wishing to be above less than perfect people? Recognizing desire is a healthy quality, insofar as one is able to recognize what one is thinking / feeling. How one acts upon such desire(s) represents the nature one allows to manifest. Does one choose to feed the hateful, or the helpful? Even Jesus observed, There will be poor, always. (OK, perhaps thats a paraphrase / translation, but close enough. It gets the point across.) Lets focus instead upon your choice of the word: above. No molecule of pure H2O (no single drop of water) is any greater or less than any other molecule of water. Some water rises (evaporation) while other water descends (ground runoff) Yet each serves a purpose. If ones purpose is to ascend, one fulfills that purpose by falling. If ones purpose is to descend, one balances / fulfills that purpose when one rises. As to the desire to be other than less than perfect people, consider this: Be ye perfect, even as your Father in Heaven is perfect (Matthew 5:48.) Striving to be perfect and being perfect are two different things: One is a struggle, the other is acceptance. The solution comes from the desire to lead us NOT INTO temptation, but deliver us FROM evil. #WalkAway, in other words.
