I know that no parent is perfect, but what are some things you wish?
Thanks Ronald.I wish I had known how important support is - either from a spouse or other family members, particularly older ones who have had the experience. I saw others around me get help and advice from parents, aunts, uncles and older friends. I had no help. So, to my mind, having help/support from others can make a huge difference - I saw my peers having much needed breaks, special times with family and support and I missed it in many areas of our lives. It may have helped with consistency which I think is the most important thing to have when raising children, particularly when it comes to discipline.
