If you had 3 wishes right now that would become true instantly, what?
I was sitting at my desk when my hand accidentally brushed up against my lamp as I tried getting something I kept underneath of it. Shivering, I grabbed my fuzzy blanket off my bed to shield me from the cold that surrounded my room. Ooooohhh, someone dared wake me! Hmmmm A strange voice called from the depths of my room, ominous yet friendly. Hello, I called out, confusion and curiosity filled me more than I anticipated. Ohhh, there you are! Im Steve, the genie of your lamp apparently; you get 3 wishes, any questions? Yes, just one. Any parameters on what I can and cant wish for? Oh, right - never had someone ask that before hold on The Wisher is not allowed to wish for more wishes, wishing for more wishes, or more genies to grant wishes Right, I figured as much. So, do I like just say what I want as my wish? I paced back and forth in circles in my room, theres so much I can wish for - but only so much that I would want to come true. Yes, you can think about it but just say your wish aloud, and it'll come true. I grabbed a pen and began writing down things I would want to wish for, categorizing what was more priority and would have the most benefit. Hmmm, I dont want to be selfish. maybe- Okay, Mr. Steve? I want the world to be a more peaceful place, socially, environmentally, the whole deal. Peace isnt entirely possible, not without disrupting the balance of human nature, unfortunately, but I do want more peace, Is that a possible wish I could make? Hmmm, thats a new one. I suppose I can make the world a more peaceful place. No war kinda vibes? No war, no racism, no sexism, and no environmental racism kinda vibes? Oh, well, this is definitely a new one, however, as you wish Maam. Thank you, but please, call me Sarah. Yes, Sarah, Steve said with a smile. Next Many of my friends have gone through things that arent necessarily ideal, and they continue to deal with it on a daily in different ways. They deserve so much better than the hell life has given them, and I can only do so much personally. However, all of them have a wish - all of them have dreams. I know taking away the past, or memories thereof, is useless what they have been through has made them stronger people, and shaped who they are today. But, is it within your limits to give them the one thing that would make them most happy; an object, money to go somewhere they want to start a new life, someone in their life that they need to meet? Just the one thing they need to be most happy? You are quite the unconventional wisher that doesn't break any rules, though it is on the borderline of doing so. What the heck, your wish - or their wishes - are my command. Going through my list of potential wishes, I found myself stuck. On one hand, I could wish for a guarantee in my future, but thats not very fun., it takes away the entire process of college applications and such things. I could ask for my parents' deepest wish to come true - but thats something that never can come true. Hmmm, so many options! Mr. Steve? I think I have an idea. Ohhh? People all around the world are unappreciated and undervalued. Their efforts in their profession or life go unnoticed, regardless of if they do it for recognition or not. To everyone out there who goes beyond what most would do just for the sake of doing it, give them something unique to them. I know this overlaps with some of the people in my previous wish, but they deserve it. Theres far too many who get discouraged and ridiculed for what they do, even if its amazing. I want them to get a token of appreciation, even if they have no idea who its from, today. They deserve it. And do me a favor, include yourself in the list of people - how many ever reward their genie for the hard work they do just by granting all these wishes? I I dont know what to say. Thank you, your wishes are my command, Sarah And with that, my dear ol genie left my room and there was a calmness in the air. Things still might not be ideal for many, but there was a little more joy in the world, something that everyone deserves, regardless of who they are. I realize my three wishes to the genie are strange, and not traditional - but I think theyre close to things I would wish for permitted I had the chance. The world could use more peace; those Im close to deserve that one thing that makes them happy or will make them happy; so many are underappreciated and deserve that tiny token of appreciation for their efforts. Maybe one day these wishes can be realities, who knows.
