What was your perfect job, that didn't last as long as you wish?
I didnt realize it until years later but my job at a company called United Space Alliance working in Spaceflight training at NASAs Johnson Space Center was it. Our entire department was RIFed (Reduction In Force) as the Space Shuttle program wound down. Since there was a huge gap, which ended up being much longer than anyone ever imagined, many folks lost jobs or sought roles in other industries. Sad to think how much knowledge was lost along the way. Looking back, I wish I had been able to stay. Its only recently that things are picking up for NASA and some exciting projects are happening. Im searching for a way to get back into a job there now! If anyone wants to hire me, let me know!
