India, India, and India. India is a heaven for vegetarians. India has a huge percentage of vegetarians. As per a report published in Wikipedia, India has the least meat consumption per capita. While there are pure vegetarian Indian restaurants from North to South of India, American chain restaurants also have a huge selection of vegetarian dishes. There are numerous pure vegetarian Indian restaurants in almost all cities in Northern India. Even regular restaurants always have a huge selection of vegetarian food. Indian tangy and mouthwatering street food chaat is also pure vegetarian. The following photo is from a renowned chaat shop of Lucknow. North Indian food has a good range of vegetarian options. Gujarati and Rajasthani food also has a huge range of pure vegetarian dishes. South Indian food also has a whole range of vegetarian dishes. I was amazed to see a board in KFC Lucknow, India, that said we serve vegetarian meals KFC- Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant is also catering to vegetarian meals in India. McDonalds India also has a huge range of vegetarian food. All other American chains like Subway, Pizza Hut, Dominos, Papa Johns, etc. have a whole range of vegetarian food in India.
