What Dio-era Black Sabbath song do you wish Ozzy sung for you, when?
A2A I've seen both up front for Sabbath, and I like both. Each has their own way of doing what they do. Now, that said, Ozzy isn't even in the same league as Ronnie, vocally. Listen to Children of the Sea" as it opens. No way Ozzy could pull that off. Sign of the Southern Cross", same thing. Ronnie also had (in my opinion) a much more robust connection to his audience. I saw Mob Rules" and it was a thing to behold. Live Evil" sleeve notes say they recorded some that night for that album. I doubt anyone will ever accuse Ronnie of not being sincere to his fans, or anyone really. To his credit, Hand of Doom", Never Say Die", Changes" and many more are best left to Ozzy. Who, by the way, spelled it Ossie on the first album credits printed on the back. I say they should stay with their own work where possible. Yes, I know Ronnie isn't with us, just speaking on what the hypothetical might look like. They both made indelible marks on those of us who loved them, as well as making LSD interesting, so gotta love em both. Cheers
